Grief
May 29, 2023
Soul grieving is conscious grieving. To consciously grieve is to perceive reality without the ego’s distortions. Therefore, the optimal way to consciously grieve is to embrace our Holy Idea. When we lose someone we love, the ego submits to the soul for the grief process to proceed. Our Holy Idea is the bridge to the soul, and is how we perceived the world when we were fully connected to our soul, our soul child. The following are each Ego Type’s Holy Idea in the context of their grief.
Type One: I yield to the reality that Holy Perfection underlies the universe. The universe is whole and complete; my loss is part of that wholeness.
Type Two: Holy Will is the will of the Divine. By relinquishing to that will, I have Holy Freedom from my ego’s way of dealing with my loss.
Type Three: I seek Holy Harmony in all my relationships and circumstances. By embracing Holy Law, I surrender to the fact that all things unfold according to the laws of the universe. This relieves me from bearing the weight of this loss by myself, and I can embrace Holy Hope.
Type Four: I am a child of God (Holy Origin). Even in this loss, I remain connected to my Holy Origin and my true identity; I am not alone.
Type Five: I am transparent to the Divine whose presence is everywhere. In Holy Omniscience, I know everything I need to know. This Holy Knowledge soothes my grief.
Type Six: I have faith (Holy Faith) to overcome this loss. I am given the strength (Holy Strength) to do this without fear.
Type Seven: Holy Wisdom is the ground of my being. I work (Holy Work) this grief according to this wisdom. Then, from wisdom and the working of that wisdom, I relinquish my grieving to the Holy Plan.
Type Eight: Holy Truth allows me to see the reality of this loss. There is nothing I can do to change the loss. Therefore, I am self-compassionate in grieving.
Type Nine: Loving myself is the only way to grieve and accept this loss (Holy Love).
Inquiry: Which is your Holy Idea, and how does it apply to your loss?
Dear God,
I pray to see the world and my losses as you see them.
Amen.
