Living in Essence

If you dare to chunk your adult life for one day, you will have the rare chance to be free, full, and happy and want others to be, too. You will remember what it feels like to trust the mystery instead of the ego's plans. You will recognize the colors' brightness and aliveness and how every object and person stands out. You will feel the sun on your face and the rain on your cheeks. You will taste and smell everything as if it were the first time. You will be fully present.

You will have suspended any disbelief in miracles and experience the supernatural naturally. You will express excitement and expectation because you are grounded yet adaptable to whatever comes your way. You have an undying spirit of joy, creativity, and inner wisdom. You will be aligned with divine rightness and manifest loving peace. You will play, laugh, dance, and sing.

You will recall what it is to feel the life force and its bounding strength. You will be conscious of the support of all those who bring you into being. You will understand that overflowing love brings continuous abundance, and you freely give of yourself from it. You will laugh from your belly.

If you do not consider taking a day to climb a mountain, walk on the beach, go into the woods, de-connect from all demands and devices, and intend to experience the world as you did as a little child, perhaps you are disconnected from your essence.

You may be happy to be in your ego's mind, heart, and body. And that's your perfect right.

But I ask you, is there a voice that calls you to abandon the rigid demands you place on your adult self? What voice beckons you into bliss? What is unsettled and uncentered that longs for alignment and freedom from anxiety, resentment, and guilt? What calls you to the sacred place of your inner heart to once again experience your essential goodness and innocence? What calls you to redeem everything and trust something beyond yourself? This may be the voice of your soul child, asking you to express them. Will you?
