Beginnings
January 10, 2024
In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.
Genesis 1:1
According to holy scripture, our origin is in the Divine. There are vast implications to having divine origins. But have you ever stopped to think about yourself as divine? If we acknowledge our divine origin, we must accept our divine qualities, and all of us have them.
Embracing our divine qualities is not a matter of ego inflation. Instead, it is an acceptance of our whole being. Yes, we have many flaws, shortcomings, and failures. We do not treat ourselves or our neighbors as we ought. Yet every one of us has access to our inherent virtues and essential soul qualities. These are our divine inheritance.
Our virtues and essential soul qualities are powerful because they are connected to the Great Essence. They provide superhuman strength, wisdom, creativity, joy, benevolence, righteousness, faith, sacred action, and overflowing love. However, they can remain dormant if we do not connect to them.
So few realize we can meet all life experiences with inestimable power. We have one foot on the earth and the other in the divine. But we tend to lean on the foot on earth and forget the other. But the foot we have in the divine is the one with which we take the first step back to our Holy Beginnings. To begin the rest of our lives with this power changes everything.
Inquiry: Why are your divine qualities not born of your ego's inflation?
Dear God,
Let me feel my divine footing. Amen
