Reflecting On this Christmas Day, 2024
This is a day of soul— of light—of giving and receiving—of celebrating the birth of Jesus. In the soul, every present moment bubbles with fresh arisings. What gifts of soul await you at this moment—in all the moments of this day?
Just imagine the three kings gazing into the eyes of baby Jesus— their eyes adoring, full of hope and expectation for the weary world. Looking into the eyes of that baby, they experienced total consciousness. Something brought them across the miles to be with this child. And in his presence, they knew that their kingdoms were small, even insignificant, next to his. The three kings gave the first gifts of this season in thankfulness. And we give gifts to celebrate this world-changing and life-giving event.
Today, do you feel through the joy to the deep love beneath it? Do you affirm others’ souls and feel their affirmation for yours? On this day will you make special efforts to look into the eyes of loved ones, friends, and family, and connect with their souls? Will you feel their connection with your soul? If so, this is the dearest gift you will ever receive and also give.
With these gifts, you carry on with what the kings began long ago.
This is a day of soul!
May this day of soul bring you to a newer fullness.
