Your Life Story Part 7
We do not know what the day will bring — we only know it will come. Yes, this day will be added to the story of our lives. What will the next 24 hours add to your story? What of life's infinite experiences will make up this day?
Whatever happens today, we can look at it in two primary ways. The first is through the eyes of our egos. They see everything about our outer image and how to preserve that image. They also view everything regarding the ego's story of how our life should go. The problem with being controlled by the ego is that the more unhealthy it is, the more hell-bent it is on getting its way. It lives for its story and image because it thinks they return us to bliss, love, fulfillment, and peace. However, the ego's story is false, and the ego's image is not our authentic self. From the ego's standpoint, any given day may meet its standards for a good day, or it may not.
But it is possible to see everything that happens today through the eyes of our soul. Whether our ego likes it or not, whatever happens, our soul sees it in light of its meaning for our existence. It does not hold resentment toward fate or towards the Divine. Though it may be sad about aspects of reality, it doesn't lose hope in the ultimate accomplishment of holy perfection. It understands the blessing of redemption, the essence's authenticity, and the present moment's power. From the soul's standpoint, every day and every experience contribute to our progression back to Holy Union. The soul’s journey takes us to the bliss, love, fulfillment, and peace we desire. As these 24 hours unfold for you, it is my wish that you feel more complete, more whole, more in touch with your goodness, and more connected to others' souls. I hope that you and God, whoever you conceive God to be, come into a greater intimacy, and that you hear God whisper to you that your soul’s story is a story of love.
