When the Time is Right

We can never understand enough about the never-ending unfoldment of reality. It has endless revelations perceived in our outer as well as inner experience. In our outer experience of the now, we perceive the physical environment differently and more intensely.

What was passed over, unseen, or ignored suddenly stands out. We sense proportions, textures, and colors we’d never even noticed. The now illuminates our relationship with the environment. We realize that we are integrally related to what we see, feel, smell, taste, and hear; these all have messages for us.

If you stop reading this Reflection right now, and concentrate on the present moment, notice how your perception of the environment changes. Something that went unnoticed may make itself known. Some sensibility may come forth in you that you were out of touch with. You may detect a fragrance or hear a sound you’d been unaware of until now. Unfiltered or unedited by our ego, the environment expresses itself so that it speaks to our soul.

New awareness arises when we experience our environment without imposing our ego’s interpretation. I am doing it now and have received a gift for my soul. As I focused on the environment, an item popped out to me. It’s an item I see daily, but I SAW it because I allowed the environment to manifest freely to me. It is an owl carved in stone. This work of art reminds me of the place we found it and of an exceptional and very dear person. Then comes the thought, out of all the objects, “Why did that owl draw my attention? What was the universe trying to communicate to me?”

Inquiry: Do you have the curiosity to experience the naked now?

Dear God,

For what you reveal to me, I am genuinely thankful. Calm my being and help me to experience all the gifts for my soul that would have been passed over.
